Transfer Pricing Controversy: The Company Perspective

Amy is the Global Transfer Pricing leader for General Mills, implementing transfer pricing planning projects, managing and defending transfer pricing positions in controversy, and leading compliance matters for all US and International operations. Before joining General Mills in 2020, Amy was Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing at Ecolab, where she led the implementation of planning projects and the original BEPS compliance measures. Before that, Amy worked at Medtronic, focused on U.S. International Tax compliance and tax accounting, as well as controversy support, technology implementations, and planning projects. Amy began her career at Deloitte where she spent time in the Washington National Tax Office tax policy group, and later in the Minneapolis office learning “real” tax work! Amy attended the University of Minnesota, Morris, and has a degree in Economic and Political Science. Outside of work, Amy spends time with her family and loves to garden.

Katherine is Counsel, Global Tax Controversy at Keysight Technologies where her practice focuses on international income tax controversies, including audits, administrative appeals, competent authority proceedings, and litigation, as well as engagement on advance pricing agreements. Before joining Keysight in September 2020, Katherine was Tax Counsel at SoftBank Group International and before that, Katherine was Senior Manager, International Tax Planning at McKesson Corporation, where she primarily focused on supply chain-related tax planning and controversy.  Prior to joining McKesson, Katherine worked in the Palo Alto office of Baker & McKenzie LLP, where she advised individuals and multinational corporations on various tax planning and controversy issues.

Colin Seegmiller joined Amway in September of 2016 and currently serves as Vice President Global Tax and Treasury.

In his role, Seegmiller leads global teams throughout the world as they address complex tax and treasury challenges. While spread across several countries, the majority of these teams are situated in Amway’s two Global Business Service Centers in Poland and Malaysia. He is actively involved with Amway’s Inclusion Networks, in addition to serving on several Boards of Directors for many of Amway’s international entities. Seegmiller reports directly to Amway’s Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining Amway, Seegmiller fulfilled similar roles for several publicly traded companies including Taylor Morrison Home Corporation, Boart Longyear Inc, and Nature’s Sunshine Products, Inc. He graduated from Weber State University with a Master's degree in Taxation and holds a CPA certification. He has lived abroad in Brazil and speaks Portuguese fluently. He and his wife currently live in Ada, Michigan and are parents to six children.
