Joel Goodsell

Joel is an experienced tax senior manager with a focus on partnering with companies and individuals to realize their mobility goals. Joel has experience assisting with compliance, payroll, and consulting needs relating to long term assignments, short term assignments, permanent relocations, remote workers, hybrid workers, state-to-state and global business travelers, cross-border commuters, EU commuters, and tele-commuters.

With the shift to a more virtual, 'work from anywhere' workplace there are many obstacles and considerations. Joel helps his clients create an operational framework that establishes guardrails to help manage tax and regulatory risks while balancing the employee experience. Joel enjoys meeting clients where they are, understanding both their regulatory and internal hurdles, and working with them to design and implement processes and procedures to balance compliance, retention, and profitability.

In addition, Joel serves as the chairman of KPMG’s Veterans network in Boston, sits on KPMG’s national Veterans network board, and serves as Global Mobility Service’s Veteran BRG leader.
