Richard C. Cimino, a member of KPMG LLP’s Tax Transformation practice, specializes in working with tax departments to help better manage financial risk and create value through use of process and technology.

Richard has more than 15 years of tax experience encompassing tax process redesign consisting of ASC 740 process analysis, tax fixed asset automation and reconciliation, provision software implementations, controls design, implementation and review, and tax technology analysis. Representative engagements include fixed asset depreciation software system implementations; multiple corporate tax department assessment projects identifying opportunities for clients to improve effectiveness; and leading a tax department redesign for a Fortune 100 financial institution.

Richard is a KPMG training instructor and a frequent speaker at Tax Executives Institute conferences and the American Tax Association. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds an MBA degree from Wake Forest University and a BS degree in business administration in accountancy from Appalachian State University.
