WEBCAST

State Legislative Update

Webcast overview

At this time of the year, we’ve historically held a webcast to discuss proposed SALT legislation and debate our predictions as to what law changes may be enacted as the state sessions wind down. We are doing that again this year, but 2021 is no ordinary year and the proposals we are seeing this year reflect our new reality.  In state capitals around the country, legislators are grappling with COVID-19 and related budget shortfalls, policy decisions around tax reform and the subsequent federal stimulus bills, tax issues associated with working from home, and more. Please join professionals from KPMG’s Washington National Tax State and Local Tax Practice as they dissect recently proposed state legislation of interest to a broad base of business taxpayers. This discussion will include an overview of pending bills that would tax, in some manner, digital advertising revenues and revenues from the sale of personal data.
