Webcast overview
The export controls and sanctions landscape is evolving quickly through stringent new regulations and heightened enforcement. Global companies must now adapt their compliance programs to meet new requirements while also enabling business. To do this, multinationals want to know what steps their peers are taking and how to leverage efficiencies. Unfortunately, there was no comprehensive information available to provide this insight.
To meet this need, in the winter of 2021 we conducted a first-of-its kind survey of over 100 multinational companies to understand how they are managing export compliance and sanctions risks. We gathered information around compliance teams’ organizational structure, risk mitigation practices, training and technology.
Join us for this 1-hour webcast, during which Steven Brotherton, Principal and Global Export Controls & Sanctions service line lead, and Elizabeth Shingler, Manager in the Global Export Controls & Sanctions service line, will discuss the results of this survey.
This session will focus on several important topics that will help companies maximize the effectiveness of existing export controls and sanctions programs and understand current and future risks.
Topics will include:
- Current state of compliance programs and stakeholder support;
- Compliance management strategies;
- Sanctions processes, procedures and technology; and
- Training as a compliance tool.
Note: There will be no CPE offered for this session
