Tax Reform: BEAT Regulations under Section 59A

On December 2, the U.S. Treasury Department and IRS released final and additional proposed regulations under section 59A—the base erosion and anti-abuse tax (BEAT) as enacted under the 2017 U.S. tax law often referred to as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA).

KPMG LLP (KPMG) is pleased to invite you to a one-hour webcast that examines these much-anticipated regulations. Senior-level KPMG Tax professionals from KPMG’s Washington National Tax practice:

  • Review the major provisions in the final regulations, with emphasis on changes made to the proposed BEAT regulations released in late 2018
  • Discuss the additional BEAT proposed regulations
  • Discuss the differing effective date options provided in the final and proposed regulations
  • Provide initial observations on the potential impact on multinationals.
