Catching up: State unclaimed property and tax update

Webcast overview:

In the state and local tax world, which includes unclaimed property, there’s never a dull moment. In 2017, there were a number of changes to states unclaimed property laws and administrative practices. As unclaimed property continues to be a key revenue source for certain states, holders need to be aware of these developments and how they affect a holder’s obligations. Please join professionals from KPMG’s Unclaimed Property practice as they discuss significant unclaimed property developments and current trends, including a recent communication from Delaware indicating that companies perceived as non-compliant will be receiving invitations to participate in the state’s Voluntary Disclosure Agreement Program.

Also during this webcast, KPMG professionals from KPMG’s Washington National Tax State and Local Tax practice will provide an update on state budgets and pending legislative proposals, and discuss what state taxpayers may expect to see in 2018 when the state legislative sessions convene.
