Detailed California Development
The Los Angeles Office of Finance is administering a tax amnesty program, with an application period from October 1, 2020 through December 17, 2020. Under the program, both registered and unregistered businesses can apply to receive a waiver of penalties on their tax debt. Interest waivers are not available. Taxpayers may also request an installment agreement for a term of not more than six months. Taxes covered by the program include, but are not limited to: business taxes, communications users taxes, transient occupancy taxes, parking occupancy taxes, gas users taxes, and commercial tenant’s taxes. The City has issued FAQs addressing various aspects of the amnesty program. Please contact Stacey Matthew at 949-431-7232 for more information on the L.A. tax amnesty program.
