Rema Serafi is the national service line leader for KPMG LLP’s Economic & Valuation Services (EVS) practice. Over her 18-year career at KPMG, Rema has held a variety of leadership positions in our EVS practice, including East region leader for the EVS practice, U.S. national transfer pricing leader, and Americas lead for the Global Transfer Pricing – Financial Services network.
Rema has provided transfer pricing consulting services, encompassing global tax planning for tangible goods and services, implementation of transfer pricing policies, and transfer pricing audit defense, to leading multinationals. She has developed and implemented transfer pricing planning in conjunction with business restructurings, merger and acquisition integration, and regulatory developments. She has also led global transfer pricing planning and global documentation studies for numerous FORTUNE 500 U.S.- and foreign-headquartered multinationals. Rema has worked with companies across a number of industries, including financial services, media, computer software, hardware and services, consumer electronics and consumer products, medical and industrial equipment, and pharmaceutical and healthcare services.
Rema serves on the board of directors for Enactus and has been a member of KPMG’s National Women’s Advisory Board. She has authored numerous articles in publications such as International Tax Review and Bloomberg BNA’s International Tax Planning. She is also a frequent speaker on transfer pricing issues at national and global events held by organizations such as Tax Executives Institute, Wall Street Tax Association, and ATLAS.
Rema earned a Master’s degree in international economics from Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs, and a Bachelor’s degree from Barnard College.
