KPMG recently polled nearly 75 global professionals in human resources, global mobility and immigration*, tax, finance, and legal regarding the impact of COVID-19 on their organization’s immigration programs and policies and initial responses to the challenges. Respondents represented 25 different industries globally. Following are some of the key findings:
- Nearly 75 percent of participating organizations reported having the necessary visa and work permit tracking information at hand regarding their globally mobile employees and accompanying family members.
- Nearly 60 percent confirmed having global mobility/immigration system tracking tools (via in-house or third-party system technology) to provide needed data transparency regarding their globally mobile employees and family members in managing COVID-19 responses.
- Over one-third of organizations reported not having a global mobility/immigration system tracking tool.
